PERSON STATS

  BAILEY, Nicky
Born In Hammersmith On 10/06/1984  England
Joined On 02/06/2004 Player Left: 03/07/2007

The ginger genius certainly made a big impact during his time with the Bees.

A tenacious player from the word go, he was Paul Faircloughs first signing as Barnet manager, in June 2004, from Sutton United for a fee that was eventually settled by a tribunal at £10,000. Money very well spent. Bailey really established himself as one of Barnets key players following promotion to League Two, where he had two successful seasons, often captaining the side.

Bailey left Barnet in the summer of 2007 for Southend United in a transfer which cost them £175,000. He made a big impression there, prompting Charlton Athletic to fork out £750,000 for him just a year later. He has long been linked with big Championship and even some Premiership clubs and it is definitely feasible that Nicky could join the list of ex-Bees to have played in the top flight at some point in the future.
