PERSON STATS

  CLIST, Simon
Born In Bournemouth On 13/06/1981  England
Player

Clisty was a popular figure during his two year spell at Underhill, before his surprise release in 2006.

Signed by Martin Allen from Bristol City in January 2004, Clist was initially used a midfielder, famously scoring a vital stoppage time winner in the play-off semi-final first leg at home to Shrewsbury, before cruelly missing a key penalty in the shoot out in the away leg.

The 2004/05 saw Simon as the only ever-present player in Barnets amazing title winning campaign. His 2005/06 season was hampered by injury and ended with Fairclough letting him go on 10th May 2006, still a decision that doesnt make the greatest deal of sense.

Since leaving Barnet, Clist had a successful time with Forest Green Rovers, before signing for Oxford United in January 2009.
